The dynamics of heath care system in Latin American region depends upon different factor. The region includes many countries which includes Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, and Chile. Typically, the cost of the healthcare is much cheaper in the region than the other parts of the world and, the universal public healthcare is available in the major countries. Data uncovers that there are more than 20,000 hospitals in the region but there is a great variation between the condition health care system in the region as in some countries high quality health care solutions are provided for free or at cheap rates, but in some part getting basic health care is challenging. For example, the life expectancy in the major countries like chille is higher i.e., 82.5 years than the average of the region, while the infant mortality is more than double in countries like Venezuela and Guatemala.
Private health care in the region is more advanced consistent with quality and a better patient experience and is expensive than the public solutions, and yet cheaper than the EU, north American region and due to this fact people from other regions visit Latin America to seek quality heath care for an affordable price. According to Medical Tourism Association (MTA), more than a million people visit Latin American region from US as medical tourist.

It would also require national and international collaborative efforts to ensure that all Latin Americans have access to the quality care deserved in addressing barriers to healthcare. This can be done through better harmonization of resources, strategies, and policies for Latin America towards a more viable health future.
